Volunteer Showcase:

Helen and Bob Rubinstein

Jconnect is pleased to introduce our latest Outstanding Volunteers. Helen and Bob Rubinstein have been teaching for Jewish Social Service Agency’s Himmelfarb Mobile University for over 15 years. Bob, a physicist and former Director of Weapons Intelligence at the Department of Energy, thought that he could add an insider perspective to some of the critical world events. Helen, a historian, in self defense decided that she would help him do so and if necessary provide a historian’s perspective to those events.

We honor them for their involvement in the community and proudly share their story with you. If you have the time and inclination to volunteer with Himmelfarb Mobile University or one of the many other sites eager to welcome your participation, please don't hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you.

The 90 volunteers who visit seriously ill and terminally ill patients each week in this program are caring people indeed and we are proud to share in honoring their work in our community. Mazel tov!
