Description: The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington is a non-profit philanthropic organization dedicated to creating a vibrant and purposeful Jewish community. Federation cares for those in need, deepens engagement in Jewish life, and strengthens the bonds among Jews in the Washington area, in Israel and around the world. Its primary functions are community planning and allocations, financial resource development, and leadership development. Its staff works either in these line businesses, or in functions that support these line businesses. Community Campaign works with a population of approximately 13,000 annual donors. Various direct-marketing methods are employed to retain this constituency, as well as to acquire potential new donors. These methods include, but are not limited to, direct mail, telemarketing, Dial-A-Thons, and e-initiatives. Additionally, the associate: • Works with the Reports & Analysis team to analyze and evaluate campaign activity with a focus on segmentation, identification of potential major donors in the Community Campaign population, and evaluation of Community Campaign strengths and weaknesses; • Works with the Marketing team to craft persuasive messages and incorporate Federation’s branding in appeals; • Works with the Financial Resource Development team to identify and manage upgrade and stewardship opportunities within the Community Campaign population; • Manages relationships with various vendors who facilitate Community Campaign tasks such as printers, mailhouses, telemarketing companies, etc. • Work with Marketing to develop stronger relations with agencies in order to grow Jewish Communal worker participation in Annual Campaign • Manages Federation Dial-A-Thons and works with the Events team to plan Super Sunday; • Keeps abreast of pertinent community issues, campaign innovations, and trends. • Working under the direction of the Manager, Reports & Analysis, the associate is responsible for the planning and executing of all aspects of the Community Campaign program.
