Description: Friends of Yemin Orde, a national non profit based in Rockville, MD, seeks a motivated self-starter with excellent writing and organizational skills for a high level administrative position. The ideal candidate will have experience working for a non-profit organization in a fundraising environment. The Development Assistant will provide support for a small but busy office with a full range of communications and administrative tasks and projects. Friends of Yemin Orde raises funds throughout the U.S. to support Yemin Orde Youth Village and Yemin Orde Initiatives in Israel. Yemin Orde is home to more than 500 youth from 22 countries and serves as both a home and school environment dedicated to giving its young residents the highest quality care and education. The Yemin Orde Initiatives brings Yemin Orde’s programs to youth villages throughout Israel. For more information, please visit www.yeminorde.org Responsibilities General Office Support •Data Entry and Database Management •Merge contact information for mailings •Manage production of mass mailings •Light prospect research •Process donations •Ordering office supplies •Faxing and copying •Scheduling conference calls Communications •Serve as first point of contact for phone inquiries and to follow up on requests •Assist with creation of marketing materials and internet communications such as flyers, brochures and invitations •Updating and maintenance of website •Send out and design regular e-mail blasts with web.com •Create correspondence for stewardship of donors •Send out media advisories and press releases Special Projects •Logistics and arrangements for board meetings and small fundraising events •Assisting with Missions to Israel •Preparing for exhibits at annual convention •Donor recognition updates •Visitors to village follow up Qualifications •Bachelor’s degree •Minimum 3 years full time work experience as administrative assistant. •Excellent electronic communication skills •Attention to detail •Demonstrated ability to take initiative, multi-task and work well with others •Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and database application •Experience with graphic design software desirable •Interest in Israel and the mission of Yemin Orde •Comfortable working in a small office FYO offers an excellent benefits package.
