Description: Head Nurse for Summer Day Camp needed for the Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington in Rockville. This position reports to the Camp Director. Founded in 1923, the JCCGW is one of the largest metropolitan JCCs in the country. Our mission is to provide quality educational, cultural, social and recreational programs, services and activities in order to perpetuate and strengthen the Jewish Community. Major responsibilities include presenting orientation for summer camp staff as it relates to Health Care procedures and policies, ordering supplies, supervising/training other medical camp staff, reviewing camper files prior to camp, extensive interaction with both parents and staff, triage, treatment and dispensing of medications. Qualifications include a B.S. degree in Nursing with a current Maryland State License and a minimum of two years supervisory experience. Camp environment experience is helpful but not exclusionary. Must LOVE working with children and teens and be an exceptional communicator with a positive and upbeat personality. The JCCGW is widely recognized for its inclusion program. Must be comfortable working with both physically and mentally challenged campers. Benefits include a personal membership with access to the facilities for the duration of camp.
