Description: Olney Kehila is a vibrant, independent, inclusive Jewish congregation in Olney, Maryland, whose mission is to provide a religious school and a strong and supportive community that celebrates Jewish traditions, customs and culture. Olney Kehila’s religious school meets on Sunday mornings from September to June. The curriculum includes Hebrew reading, Jewish prayers and meanings, Torah studies, Jewish holidays and traditions, and Jewish history. Students range from Kindergarten through Seventh Grade. Olney Kehila also has a strong B’nai Mitzvah program led by Spiritual Leader Holly Shere. Learn more about our community at www.olneykehila.org. Olney Kehila is looking for creative and innovative teachers for its Hebrew school program. Teachers are responsible for classroom instruction, lesson planning, communicating with parents as necessary, and maintaining a controlled, stimulating and nurturing learning environment. The ideal candidate is a high energy individual knowledgeable in all facets of Jewish life and learning, and must be able to teach Hebrew. Classroom experience preferred.
