Description: The Guidance Counselor will: Provide counseling for individual students on social and emotional issues; Plan and implement class and small group interventions, as needed; Teach classes at each grade level on developmentally appropriate topics; Work with teachers, administration, parents, and outside professionals to meet individual students’ social, emotional, behavioral, and academic needs; Work with teachers to create behavior modification plans; Write and review academic accommodation plans based on professional evaluations; Work with teachers to ensure that academic and behavior modification plans are being effectively implemented; Provide referrals for services such as counseling, tutoring, evaluation.

Desired Education Degree/Level: Masters
Other: A Masters degree in counseling or social work is required; credentials and experience in special education are highly desirable.
