Description: Bustling community center in Fairfax, Virginia seeks Children’s Services Director to plan, develop and recruit individuals and families for its award-winning school-age programs, camps and activities and related committees; assist with agency-wide events as needed; and prepare and oversee department budget and assist with fundraising through programs and grants.
Desired Education Degree/Level: Bachelor's
Other: The ideal candidate possesses Bachelors Degree (required), Masters Degree (preferred); professional experience with day camps and school-age programs preferred; strong leadership, management and communication skills; informal Jewish educational experience; is highly motivated with exceptional vision; JCC and/or JCC Camp experience preferred; camping background experience supervising staff and campers. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare and manage budgets; ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers and committees; ability to manage and supervise other part-time staff; knowledge in Judaic programming. Computer literacy, including MS Office, required.
