$3 Million Needed to Fund Agencies & Programs That Faced Allocation Cuts for FY 11.

A $6 million shortfall in funding available for budget and allocations led Federation leadership to make very difficult choices regarding funding for local and overseas programs and agencies. The impact of these cuts will be felt far and wide across our community and around the globe.  The reality is that programs and services that support seniors, feed the hungry, provide financial assistance to local families and more will be dramatically impacted by the shortfall. We know economic times are tough however; federation leadership commits itself to do whatever it will take to raise additional dollars and save programs at risk of being cut.  

Mazel Tov to this year’s Campaigner of the Year Award winners Marissa Schlaifer & Stefanie Sanders Levy.  Marissa and Stefanie have shown themselves to be quite the dynamic campaign duo.  Over the past two years they have exemplified great leadership and campaign excellence as co-chairs, first for the Affinity Network and this past year for Super Sunday.   In their most recent leadership role, Marissa & Stefanie, along with local co-chairs from each location, led more than 800 volunteers to raise $847,000 at Super Sunday, Federation’s single largest fundraising day.
